SR22 Car Insurance
Reader’s Question:
I would like to know if my non owners SR22 car insurance will cover me for the uninsured car? Is it enough car insurance for uninsured car?

I suggest that you check that any automobile you operate has insurance on it or not. Do not rely upon SR-22 car insurance to supply the required car insurance coverage. The car owner is required to place insurance on it. Your non-owners SR22 car insurance will be second to that insurance coverage. A non-owners SR-22 car insurance usually does not protect coverage for the car (Physical Damage) or other essential coverages like PIP, UM, and/or PD.
In case you borrow an automobile from a friend and get into any sort of accident in that vehicle, your friend’s car insurance would certainly kick in 1st. But when, for instance, if you were found at fault in an accident and the injury to the other driver’s carĀ exceeded the liability limits in your friend’s insurance plan, your nonowners SR22 car insurance coverage would cover the excess (up to policy limits).
If the car’s insurance policy got canceled or terminated or lapsed or was not in effect, the non-owners SR22 car insurance policy would cover the policy holder in case of an accident. Remember though, a non-owners policy covers liabilityonly, not the car.
